Part 1 – prayer

2 Corinthians 10:4 (AMP) The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.

Prayer is a powerful offensive weapon we must pick up and use.

Webster’s definition of offensive is the action of attacking someone or something.

We are to not be on the defense.

Webster’s definition of defense is the act of defending from a resisting attack.

John 5:19(NIV) Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

Through prayer, Jesus was able to see in the spirit the things the Father wanted Him to do. He was also able to hear the words the Father wanted Him to speak.

Jesus prayed and talked with the Father, and the Father made Himself known to Him in all His fullness. As Jesus saw things in the Spirit, through prayer, He did them.

It was through prayer Jesus was able to penetrate into the realm of the Spirit.

It was through prayer Jesus was able to know and become one with God.

It was through prayer that the Father revealed Himself and His will to Jesus.

The way you are going to penetrate into the realm of the Spirit is when you are able to see and hear what Christ wants you to do and say it through prayer. Just as it was necessary for Jesus, it is necessary for you to use prayer as means of coming into the full and accurate knowledge of Jesus.

Jesus lived in constant communion with the Father. After intense times of teaching and ministry to the people, He would find a place where He could be alone with the Father. That time of communion with the Father was the source of His strength.
